An industrial partner works on getting together employers from all over an industry sector to help the development of skills in their students, with a focus on growth and competition. Most Knowledge partners will be closely associated with industry partners who provide industrial training for the students and are potential employers for graduates of these programs. Industry partners are very important as they help prepare a student for employment in their field. Experts from the field can help to ensure that the students are kept updated on the progress made in their field and that what they learn is relevant to the particular profession. Industry partners vary depending on the programs offered. They include a variety of fields, such as health care workers, those who assemble or repair automobiles, and personnel who monitor water quality, etc. Knowledge partners are usually involved with local Industry Partners. An Industry Partner can help in defining objectives and desired learning outcomes for a particular course in a new or existing training program so that students can be properly trained for employment. They can ensure that the course content is up-to-date concerning the latest requirements and trends. They can further assist in providing real-life workplace scenarios that will further make the course more relevant for the students.
